Edgar Allan Poe mosaic blanket

This Edgar Allan Poe blanket uses the overlay mosaic crochet method & is perfect for snuggling under on crisp fall evenings or to give as a gift to an avid Poe fan. Various elements from Poe’s stories are featured, including Hop-Frog, the Gold Bug, the Tell Tale Heart, The Raven, The Pit & the Pendulum, & a skull for good measure!

This design can be done in multi-colors like the sample blanket shows but can also be done in 2 colors, like the mockup image.

My sample blanket used approximately 1600 yards of medium #4 weight yarn of my background color Buff & 1500 of the main design colors (all others combined) with a 5mm hook, but different yarn weights & hook sizes can be used.

This pattern includes full written row instructions in US terms & detailed explanations & links to helpful videos that show the general methods used. There are also fully marked charts for both the 2-color version & the multi-color version.
