*This sock pattern was inspired by the El Galeón , a 170-foot, 495-ton, authentic wooden replica of a galleon that was part of Spain’s West Indies fleet. My daughter and I toured this replica and I was completely taken in with all the knots and ropes that covered the ship. The pattern details are dense creating cabling that gives the illusion of knots and twisting ropes.*

**NOTIONS:** Stitch markers (Optional), tapestry needle for weaving ends.
**PATTERN STYLE:** The pattern contains written as well as chart instructions. There is a key and full abbreviation list included as well.
**DIFFICULTY:** Beginner. This pattern is mostly knit and purl, with some twisted stitches that are done without a cable needle.
