Elephants don't have to be gray! Make one in any color you like. I'm sure it's going to look great. :)
With DK yarn I got the following size: 21.5 cm (including ears)
You can use any yarn you like.
With lighter yarn the figure will be smaller, with heavier yarn it will be bigger. For babies and small children I recommend 100% cotton yarn and washable stuffing.
