The Elephant Illusion knit has been designed to be viewed from the side so is intended to be used as a wall hanging or baby blanket. The size, without the border, and using 3.25 mm needles and DK yarn, is approximately 70 cm by 90cm This can be changed to suit your needs with the addition of the border. It uses approximately 500 metres of each of two contrasting yarns was used for the project.
When you look at the knitting from directly in front you only see narrow stripes. The elephant appears when you look from the side.
Illusions is very easy and works in any thickness of yarn.
The pattern includes three different versions of the chart - one on a single page, another split into four sections and the third for use on hand-held devices.
