This wonderfully cozy slouch beanie is the most fun I have ever had designing a beanie. It works up pretty quickly and the breaks with the stitches in the 3rd loop give it a good structure and definition.
The band will fit between a 21-23 inch head, so if you need it larger or smaller just add or subtract rows in the band before crocheting shut, and then adjust your starting row of stitches accordingly. (always try your band on before you continue to the rest of the hat.)
I designed this with Loops & Thread yarn originally, and remade it with Knit Picks Brava, but BigTwist, Red Heart, or any other medium weight (4) will work as well, just check the measurements as you are going.
