These socks would be ideal for intermediate sock knitters who would like to try cable knitting.
The design for these socks was inspired by my Fankle Shawl. For some time now, I have wanted to design sock patterns that would match my four free shawl patterns. The thought of knitting cables can be slightly daunting to some knitters, but this is a very straight forward cable pattern to follow: the cables only appear once in every four rounds. In between the cables, there is a little twisted lace pattern too.I’m also hoping to help knitters understand how cuff down socks with a traditional gusset develop with this very simple yet elegant sock pattern.
Pattern contains links to four tutorial videos on my YouTube channel to help with various techniques used while knitting these socks.
