Felice and his sweater are knit complete all in one piece and stuffed as you go. Starting at the neck with provisional cast-on the head is knit first and eyes are duplicate stitch. The stitches at neck are picked up and the rest of Felice is knit top-down, in-the-round.
Advanced Intermediate level: uses Provisional cast-on, Kitchener Stitch, knitting-in-round (perfect for magic loop), duplicate stitch UNIQUE CONSTRUCTION, stuff as you go.
NOTE: gauge for toys is not crucial but… the knitted fabric should be tight enough to keep the stuffing from poking through.
