Flounce Wrap

A lightweight garter stitch wrap for all seasons. It was designed to encircle your neck elegantly when wrapped fully around it, and to ruffle out with flourish when draped like a scarf. Still, when I cast off and held it in my hands, I was surprised by how many different looks could be achieved with this one little garment. You can drape it and rearrange the points in all sorts of ways I didn't anticipate. Folded in half, it makes a versatile little mini-shawl.

A bonus: this is really the ultimate travel knitting! It’s lightweight, mostly mindless garter stitch, with stitch marker reminders at the increase points. In other words, you don’t have to look down at it too much. However, it’s an interesting enough striping pattern that there is always something to look forward to. If you’re newer to knitting, it could even make a great first wrap/shawl pattern.
