Flower Power series square - Darling Daffodils

Part of my Flower Power series - this Darling Daffodil is a great way to welcome in the Spring! This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square that can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

For the sample image, you will need 4 colors of yarn, however you can also do the flowers in a single color to match your favorite daffodil variety.

If using medium #4 yarn & a 5.5 hook, you need approx 2 oz of the background color (100 yds), 1.5-1.75 oz of green, and around .5 oz or less of each daffodil color. This is a great way to use up scraps!
