As Spring begins, colorful blooms start appearing everywhere: on the trees, in bunches at the grocery store, or farmer’s market, and as blooming bulbs in the flower beds. It is at this time that it becomes hard to resist their lure. Vases of flowers begin appearing on my kitchen table, and near the window in the living room. Occasionally, even my husband gets involved and brings home a bouquet for me. . . just “because”.
Inspired by Orla Kiely’s Abacus design, Flowers. . . Just Because features whimsical flowers on a lace backdrop. Adding a bit of embroidery adds a bit of pop to the flowers, and makes this a cheery little piece to make and wear.
