I originally designed this cowl in 2017 for KnitCrate and I recently reacquired the rights to the pattern when they closed up shop and I have fully updated the pattern using a different yarn. The gray yarn shown has been discontinued.
The cowl is crocheted using a super bulky weight yarn in the round repeating the same round after the starting foundation row and the first round. With each round the stitch pattern moves the chain space opening forward producing diagonal rows of open chain spaces.
For this cowl I used about 1.5 skeins (about 115 yards) of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn in the color “Seaglass”. Check all of the great colorways for this yarn. This is truly an economical one-skein wonder project that is fast and fun. And, because it is so quick to crochet and easy to wear it is perfect for gifting!
