A beautifully soft knitted baby blanket which is my own original design. The pattern is written in both UK and USA terms.
I suggest using a chunky cashmere and merino blended wool yarn but you could change the yarn used. The yarn suggested also has the added advantage of being machine washable at 30 degrees. Mom's definitely don't have time to hand wash!
Skills required: knit, purl, cast/bind on and off, increasing and decreasing (full instructions and colour photos included in the pattern to help you). Basic sewing skills (about as much as you need to sew on a button!).

The blanket is shown in spring bud green with a forest green edging. The bobbles are knitted in forest green, kingfisher blue, mist grey and denim blue. Suggested yarns are shown below.
