Gallivanter is a dynamic zigzagging slightly-more-than-a-triangle to stay snugly on the shoulders and keep the chills away.
Ideal for pairing a busy yarn with a quiet contrast yarn. it works well with long colour run yarns, gradients, or variegated yarns striped with a solid, or two semi-solid yarns striped together.
The shawl can be worked in half garter, as pictured, or in full garter stitch, or mostly stockinette, as you prefer. Pattern is worked on the right side only.
The pattern can be worked entirely from the written pattern, or from charts with some notes.
It is suitable for any yardage of fingering to worsted weight yarn, and has patterning on the RS only.
