The shawl is reversible and it is relatively simple to knit if you are prepared to follow the pattern on both sides. The WS is a combination of knit and purl stitches and it is an extension of what was done on preceding RS.Size - the pattern is easily adjustable in size just by adding more repeats of the pattern.Yarn – fingering to sport. The shawl can be done in cake yarn or in a tonal or solid colour. It can also be done in different solid colours to create wide lace sections separated by background colour stripes.Needles should be adapted to the yarn used and the degree of lacy effect that you desire to achieve.The gauge for pictured shawl was 22 stitches and 35 rows = 10 cm in stockinette blocked, it is not necessary to get the same gauge.
