***Designed during the Covid 19 Level 4 Lock Down in New Zealand in March 2020, as an easy, mindless & versatile project, able to be knit from stash.***This is a ONE PIECE design, including incorporated I-Cord edges.
There are various options for the design, including adaptation to a scarf/wrap/larger blanket/s.
The sample pictured is the Baby/Knee Rug/Lap Blanket Version and it was knit using 12 x 20 gm, fingering weight, speckled minis from an Advent Calendar, double stranded with a solid, fingering weight yarn.
Because of the nature of the pattern stitch this pattern is suitable for many types of yarn, and I think it would look particularly effective in solid or semi solids/tonal yarns.
BEGINNER FRIENDLY & also a great SCRAPPY PROJECT, it is my hope that this design will particularly appeal to knitters requiring a mindless project to sit down with, in a ‘happy place’, whenever the going feels particularly tough.
