Make your very own Gunter the Elephant with this clear and detailed pattern from Whipstitch Wing Creations. The pattern includes photos, step-by-step instructions and helpful hints to make both a sitting and a standing version of this cute little character. It is aimed at Intermediate crocheters, but could be done by anyone familiar with basic amigurumi techniques.
Gunter the Elephant has been tested by six different crochet designers. The size and appearance of the product can be easily altered with different yarns, colours, safety eyes and parts placement, and examples of these are provided in the pattern introduction. The original Gunter requires approximately 100g of Bernat Super Value in Pumpkin, with small amounts of white and black. Gauge is not important with this pattern, but one hook size down from what the yarn recommends is advised in order to minimise gaps in your work.
