This pattern uses a soft luxurious feeling yarn, which has a rustic look, to produce an interestingly textured and manly hat. The cables do not detract from the yarn, but prevent the colour from becoming too uniform.
The pattern is knit in the round using circular needles or dpns, and stitch markers and a cable needle is required.
The cable pattern is charted clearly, but there are no written row by row cable instructions.
V4.0 has corrected the error in the crown decreases and updated the appearance of the layout to be more in line with more recent patterns.
