Headstarter Socks

This sock is knit from the cuff down using charted stitch patterns. A combination of increases, decreases and some very simple, cable-less twisted stiches are all that are used to make a really classy-looking mens’ sock. You can create a lacier, more feminine version of the sock if you work a Yarn Over (YO) instead of the Lifted Increases in the charts.

Lifted Increases are used extensively in this pattern; if you’ve never done them before, please make sure you read the instructions very carefully.

This pattern consumes more yarn than your standard "vanilla" sock, which is why I recommend extra yardage for the largest size. Please keep this in mind when choosing your yarn; there’s nothing worse than running out!
