This is an original pattern for a colourful crocheted double thickness potholder with Henrietta Hen on the front. The reverse is plain red, and both thicknesses are joined by a double row of crochet in green and red.
I have recommended 100% cotton yarn, making it safe to stand warm dishes on, and to protect your hands from burns. Measures 9” x 8.5” (23cm x 22cm) plus the hanging loop at the top.
The stitches used are slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, surface slip stitch. Instructions for all stitches used are included in this pattern, together with many photographs to help you along.
