During one glorious summer, I crossed the bridge at Hill Island, the one that sails over the Thousand Islands, about 8 times. The thrill of looking over the side at the gorgeous islands below inspired this simple wrap designed for cool evenings on the water. Worked primarily in garter stitch, Hill Island resembles map-like topographical lines. The easy lace edging calls to mind the foamy wakes of the gleaming Century and Chris-Craft wooden boats that cruise through the islands.
