Maurice and its hot air balloon is about 30cm tall when made with 8 ply/DK yarn and a 3mm crochet hook. This is the first amigurumi of the Maurice series!
Supplies
Quantities below are based of 100% cotton DK yarn balls of 50g/125m. I use Paintbox yarns.
-1 ball of cream white
-1 ball of pale green
-1/2 ball of grey
- some pink yarn (ribbon)
- some dark grey and pale pink yarns (nose, mouth and moustaches)
- some beige yarn (strings)
- safety eyes size 6mm
- fiber fill
- crochet hook 3mm
- stitch markers (you can use a safety pin)
Techniques used :
This pattern is suitable for people with intermediate crochet skills who have knowledge of magic ring, crocheting in the round, chain, single crochet, single crochet increase and single crochet decrease, bobble stitch, change of color, tapestry crochet, basket stitch and half double crochet. The basket stitch used is explained in this pattern but please note there is no tutorial provided for any other skills mentioned above.
