The Hydrangea Baby Afghan was inspired by the hydrangeas blooming in my garden right now ~ a gorgeous shade of blue. The pattern consists of a botanical center panel, with two lace side panels (if someone wants an easier version, they can substitute this lace pattern for an easier stitch; for example, stockinette). The pattern consists of knitting nupps for the hydrangea-like flower, which is not difficult as long as the stitches making the nupps are kept long and uniform. Fun project!
