These socks are pretty and sweet just like our poem. The pattern contains four sizes, extra small which also works for DK weight yarn, small, medium, and large. We begin with one of our chosen contrasting colours to top the sock and then work down through a simple rib to get to the rows of piped icing. This stitch is intuitive to work and even though you have a colour work look you will only be working one colour in each row - perfect engaging yet relaxing knitting. This whimsical design would look beautiful in almost any yarn, from delicate, sugary shades to the more traditional red and green Christmas colours, solid and speckles look beautiful too. Perhaps the piped icing section puts you in mind of shiny baubles on a tree? That opens up even more colour possibilities.
