Détails du produit

The idea for this unusually-constructed short-rows shawl came from the painting 'Wheat Fields,' by Vincent Van Gogh. Working a slightly variegated green yarn horizontally and a yellow speckled yarn vertically appeared the perfect challenge to attempt painting with yarn. Baah La Jolla in colorways Emerald Isle and Because I’m Happy are the perfect combination of yarns to accomplish this.

The modern, asymmetric shape is worked entirely in garter stitch. The shawl grows from just a few stitches, with increases on both edges and short rows on the left side of the naturally-occurring spine. The yellow multicolored sections appear randomly placed, increasing in size throughout until the shawl ends with a large yellow-only section.
