This is like the marriage of rising darkness and a classic Breton striped fisherman's sweater…You start at the bottom with the darkest color, and slowly with fair-isle technique mingle in lighter and lighter colors until you end up at the top with your lightest brightest color. It's knit in the round, bottom-up. The sleeves are knit separate and combined with the body at the start of the arm opening. The neckband is picked up and knit.
