This is a great beginner project. As a wonderful introduction to creating a crocheted garment, the combination of a classic granny square and single crochet will be rewarding to the beginner to advanced crafter. The Granny Squares are created and then either “sewn together” or “joined together as you crochet” into a strip. Once the strip is created and the length matches the bottom of the cardigan, it is sewn or crocheted onto the cardigan. There is very little sewing. I love to sew, just not after all that work. It seems that it takes just as long to sew as it does to crochet or knit, so let’s make it “Seamlessly Simple”™.
