This is an expanded-triangle/Faroese hybrid, top-down, lace & cabled shawl which sits beautifully on the shoulders. If you liked Temple and Arch, [Regrowth][1], or both, I think you'll love this pattern!
Techniques involved include garter tab start, Vikkel braiding, cables, and extra-large YOs; all are explained in the pattern. Chart reading is required. There is some WS k/p patterning but no WS lace. You can do it! And we'll be here to help.
Yarn selection: gauge isn't crucial to this pattern, but you probably don't want to go with a lighter-weight yarn than fingering weight as it may cause your cables to lose definition. Sport or probably even D
