I’m not apologizing for it, but I am no longer in denial. I love knitting bags. Since they are getting pretty expensive, I decided I could easily make my own. I knew I wanted to felt it, because with the fabric being so dense, it makes a really sturdy bag. Looking through my stash of yarn, I found some Cascade 220 colors that would work well together. Seeing the finished bag I can easily see a lot of color combinations that would be great together. Maybe I need more than one felted knitting bag.
The bag is created by knitting the bottom of the bag first, and then picking up stitches all the way around and continuing the body of the bag in the round.
