Jacket and Hood for Weekend Sports is a fun pattern originally published as a single-sized pattern in the 1940s.
In the original vintage pattern, the patterning on the left front mirrored that on the right front, forming striking v-shapes. Our sample knitted in 2012 was knitted without this mirroring in the patterning, but we have provided instructions to match the original and also to match the sample if you prefer.
The sample is knit in Susan Crawford Vintage Barn, a heavy DK yarn.
An extremely practical matching hood is also provided in the pattern to create the complete 1930s sporting look.
Our model is shown wearing the 1st size to fit 81-87cm (30-32in) chest.
The pattern has eight size options included to fit from 30-60 inches (76-152cm).
