Sincerely Louise - SYC - Jennifer the Giraffe!
Our fourth scarp yarn challenge featured a hank of Sweet Georgia in a gorgeous pink and half a ball of slightly sparkly DK yarn. I'd had the hank in my stash for two years, so needed to design a really special pattern with it. Our favourite suggestion was from Jennifer, who said it should be made into a giraffe in honour of April the giraffe, who was expecting her calf at the time.
This pattern was originally knitted in Sweet Georgia Super Wash DK but you can use any DK yarn as it is a scrap yarn challenge. You'll need one ball of main colour, one ball of contrast colour and a little black for embroidering, some stuffing, cardboard and two 10mm eyes with washers.
Finished Size: 37cm x 20cm x 17cm
Skill level: Intermediate
Stitches: K, P, Kfb, SKP, K2tog, Colourwork, Mattress Stitch for Sewing Up.
