Knit from the top down in a versatile, wide triangle silhouette, Katriel’s simple garter stitches form graphic textural stripes neatly defined by an eyelet border and an easy, delicate picot edge.
Katriel looks lovely knit in solids as well as stripes, and is a perfect showcase for gorgeous yarn. Enjoy combining many wonderful color pairings, or choose to knit it in a precious solid or hand-dyed semi-solid yarn.
The finished shawlette measures approximately 58-60" wide along the blocked top edge, and approximately 18-20" deep along the center spine from the top edge to the point, depending on blocking method used. Katriel uses approximately 80 grams of each yarn color, and the Tosh Merino Light pattern yarn relaxes and loosens a lot with wet-blocking, so be sure to block a swatch for proper gauge, as this will make a difference in finished size and yardage required.
