Khwezi (meaning Morning Star) was born out of the need to play around with my favourite colour without committing to a lot of projects in order to indulge in my yarn fantasies. The blanket is fun to knit and then pieces are seamed together using the mattress stitch. There are so many ways to complete this project including: using scrap yarn, mini skeins, gradient yarns changing the colour from one side to the next, alternating speckled with solid yarns doing a fade from one side to the other or from the centre going outwards or selecting your favourite colours and making the blanket from those.
You can also do this as a team project for a special gift to a special somebody.
