Kimberley - broken rib ponytail/messy bun beanie

This stretchy, 8ply, ponytail Beanie is worked in broken rib throughout. This style is also available in a standard beanie pattern – please see my Casey pattern for that design.

Pattern sizes: Age 2-5 yrs, 6-10 yrs, Teen and Lady.

To fit head: 52 (54-55-56) cm [20½ (21¼-21¾-22) ins].

Yarn required: 1 (1-1-1) ball Lincraft Superwash 8ply, 100g balls@190m.

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles. Wool needle for sewing up.

Tension: 20 sts and 36 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over broken rib (slightly stretched), using 4.00mm needles.
