Many of my friends have requested a knit replication of their cherished pet. I’ve decided to share some of the designs with the knitting community!
The Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular dog breeds in the world. It comes in three color shades: black, yellow and chocolate. Luckily your knitted pet can come in any color you like!
This 14 cm Lab has a 6cm tail and was knitted on 2.00 mm dpn (UK 14, US 0) in Scheepjes Merino Soft (606) Da Vinci with a strand of Lana Grossa Silkhair (115) golden brown and Lana Grossa Together (16) raw white. The bandana was done in 2 plies from Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine (101) white, (130) scarlet and (132) wine.
The Lab is an easy to medium knit withr some round and short row knitting in the round and minor short row knitting with 25-30 m of yarn. The bonus bandana asks for some challenging intarsia work (for example. on 1 mm dpn in lace gauge yarn for a flimsy fabric).
