When you see the first frisky lambs appearing in the meadows, you knowspring is in the air!Sheep like variety in their meals and munchies and are selective in picking their provisions: they especially love forbs, broad-leafed flowering plants (not being grass). Although, IRL, daffodils may not be a sheeps’ safest staple, these daffodils are entirely edible for your knitted lamb. So, to keep it from harassing your house plants, make sure to also knit plenty of daffodils!
This lamb is an easy knit, with some knitting flat and in the round and minor short row knitting. It was made on 2 mm (UK 14, US 0) double pointed needles in Drops Alpaca Bouclé (100) nature, filled with soft toy stuffing and measures 11 cm from nose to tail. The 5.5 cm daffodils were knitted flat and as i-cord in miniature (1 mm dpn) in single plies of Schachenmayr Merino extrafine 120, but can also be done on thicker needles, in heavier yarn and will turn out a little bulkier..

- The texture of your yarn determines the lambs' appearance: try a bouclé yarn in off-white or naturel shade or add a strand of mohair to the base yarn.
