Leannán means sweetheart or darling in Scottish/Irish Gaelic, which I found to be the perfect description for this shawl. The slipped and cabled stitches look like hearts. I love how the variation in the yarn really shows with the slipped stitches.

GAUGE 20 stitches and 27 garter bumps = 4 inches (10 cm) in blocked garter
