This is a great beach hat, summer hat, anytime hat! This cute cap features a ruffled brim, colorwork with a beach them. This is not a pattern for the true beginner, but if you'd like to practice your colorwork techniques, this is for you. The charted design is in full color. You will need to know how (or be willing to learn!) to knit in the round. The hat shown is knitted with Tahki's Cotton Classic, a nice dk weight 100% cotton. You can substitute another dk weight yarn, if desired.

The sample was made with Tahki-Stacey Charles “Cotton Classic” in each of the following colors: 3847 Blue, 3220 Sand, 3764 Green, 3486 Orange, 3533 Yellow, 3924 Purple, 3002 Black, 3488 Red. Some suggested substitutes are shown below.
