It’s hard to find that sweet spot between plain vanilla socks and a complicated pattern that requires intense focus—but this one fits the bill! Simple cables meander down the back of the leg, while a twisted moss stitch on the front tapers to the toe, keeping things interesting—once you’ve completed a few rounds you’ll be working from memory!
Sizes: 7 ½ (8, 8 ½, 9, 9 ½)”/19 (20 ½, 21 ½, 23, 24) cm finished foot circumference; length adjustable. Socks intended to be worn with ¾–1”/2–2 ½ cm negative ease.
Yarn: Approx. 325 (350, 375, 400, 430) yd fingering weight yarn. Samples shown in Dragonfly Fibers Djinni, 80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon (100g/420yd) and Three Irish Girls Adorn Sock, 80% merino, 20% nylon (100g/430yd)
Gauge: 32 st and 40 rnds = 4”/10 cm in st st, in the rnd, blocked.
Needles: Set of US 1.5/2.5mm DPNs, 2 circular needles, or one long needle for magic loop, or size to obtain gauge
