A cute little traditional Christmas Stocking, worked in two colour stranded colourwork. The pattern has two designs to choose from: Christmas trees or Snowflakes. There are written instructions and charts for the colourwork. It is knit using a short circular needle and dpns, but can be easily adapted to the magic loop method. This pattern has directions for working from the top down. There are instructions for a Wrap and Turn short row heel, however this can be changed to your own choice of short row, FLK, or afterthought heel. There are directions for two different toe patterns, a wedge toe and a rounded toe.
Yarn: Donegal Yarns Aran Tweed (50g 87 yds/ 80 m of two contrasting colours is more than enough) Main Colour - Raphoe (MC) & Contrast Colour - Buncrana (CC)
Gauge: 20 sts x 21 rows per 4 inches using 5 mm needle in colourwork. Although gauge is not essential it will impact the amount of yarn required.
