Little Monkey Amigurumi

With this pattern you can make yourself a pair of cute little monkeys, a boy in a top and trousers, and a girl in a dress. They're only about 5" tall, so they make sweet little friends to carry around wherever you want.

The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi. They are written using US crochet terms, and the list of abbreviations includes the UK alternatives. The pattern is a downloadable PDF file and you will need Adobe Reader to open it.

Materials for each monkey:

Use double knitting (DK) weight yarn. Worsted weight yarn is a little thicker than DK but can easily be substituted and the pattern will still be in proportion, though you may need to use a little more and go up a hook size.

Fur colour yarn, approx 15g.

Cream yarn for nose, hands and feet, approx 5g.

Yarn for top (boy), approx 10g.

Yarn for trousers (boy), approx 10g.

Yarn for dress (girl), approx 10g.

Small amount of yarn for belt on dress.

Small amount of black yarn for mouth and nostrils.

1 pair 9 mm brown safety eyes.
