The Lords of the Court Shawl is the second, in the trio of shawls, including the Elain Shawl and Feyre Shawl, inspired by the book series “A Court of Thorn and Roses” by Sarah Maas.
The trio of shawl designs came about through a collaboration with indie dyer Angela of Pretty Twisted Knots, who has dyed up 10 amazing colours to go with these designs.
Lords of the Court Shawl is based on the seven male characters in the books and their courts, Night, Spring, Day, Winter, Summer, Dawn and Autumn.
This large, asymmetrical triangular shawl is about strength, texture and short rows.
The construction of this shawl is garter wedges, short rows and eyelet lace. I feel that the shawl is completely unisex and versatile.
