Détails du produit

Beginning with a simple lace pattern, and taking inspiration from Japanese temple architecture, Lotus is a richly textured half-octagon shawl that will stay comfortably on your shoulders. The shawl, knitted top-down, features sweeping lace 'petals', reverse stockinette panels and nupps which give textural interest, and a knit-as-you-go lace border along the whole neck edge.

Difficulty: Intermediate – you will need to know how to make nupps/bobbles, multiple increases, and a tab cast-on (including provisional cast-on and picking up stitches). The shawl has a crocheted bind-off (although alternate instructions for a knitted bind-off are given).

Size/gauge: 28 sts/30 rows per 10cm in stockinette gives a blocked shawl of approx 200cm tip-to-tip. A larger or smaller shawl can be made by adjusting gauge.

Materials: 600-700m of Alpacaware Super Fine (or other fingering-weight yarn).
