This is the pattern for a mallard duck appliqué.

I’ve used 8 ply cotton and a 2.5mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.
Green, brown, white and orange cotton or wool, I used 8 ply wool which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK.
A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook.
Scissors.
Sewing needle and cotton to stitch the wing to the duck’s body.
Darning needle to weave in ends.
Black embroidery cotton or sewing thread to embroider on the eye, or you could use a black bead if you prefer.
