Marque-page socks are feminine socks, adorned with a motif made of twisted stitches and mock cables, which climbs on the top of the foot. Another version of this motif is used on the back of the ankle. These motifs are explained by charts.
They are worked from toes up, with a heel flat and a gusset.
They are available in 7 sizes: 2XS/XS (S/M/L/XL/2XL), depending on foot’s width: 16/18 (20/22/24/26/28) cm / 6½/7 (8/8½/9½/10¼/11) inches of circumference. Sizes 2XS and XS fit children’s feet. And 21 shoe sizes: (FR) 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 / (US) 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 12.5 13, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9.5, 10, 11.
You will need between 150 and 400 meters / 170 and 440 yards of fingering sock yarn to knit them, depending on your size.
