Fiona Alice published her first knitting book, Take Heart: A Transatlantic Knitting Journey, with Pom Pom Press in 2015. Those patterns are now slowly becoming available as individual downloads for the first time.
Martinique Beach is a canvas to explore a series of geometric shapes, through highly intense stranded colourwork. The double layers and naturally lush construction of colourwork makes this a hearty cowl to keep the winter winds at bay. This cowl is worked in the round and then seamed together at the end to create the seamless loop.
The original sample featured in the book was knit in Sweet Georgia’s Trinity Worsted. Fiona’s new sample is shown in The Uncommon Tread’s Lush Worsted.
