This is an elegant, lacey shawlette with a small flower-bud motif inspired by the beautiful beaches of Mauritius.
The lacey pattern makes it the ideal accessory for those warm summers evenings with a cool breeze. But don't put it away in winter! Turn it around and use it as a scarf to add warmth and pizzazz to your winter outfit.
A step-by-step photo tutorial shows in detail how to work this stitch. Use the photo’s as a reference when you start out, but once you get the hang of it, only print out the last 2 pages without photo’s to save on ink and paper (the last 2 pages contain the complete written pattern).
The design was done in a self-patterning yarn, but will look just as beautiful in a single color.
Blocking your shawlette will result in a more lacey, well defined pattern, so this is highly recommended.
