This pattern was inspired by the UN designation of 2024 as the International Year of Camelids. I used a 100% alpaca yarn from Mayapple Hill Farm from the fiber animal named Mandrake. The leaf of the mayapple (aka American mandrake) is the inspiration for the body of the hat.
Measurements Height 7” Circumference 20”
Materials Yarn: Mayapple Hill Farm Alpaca Yarn from fiber animal Mandrake, 150 yd
Hook: 5 mm hook, or appropriate for gauge

Gauge 17 st and 9 rows = 4×4” (10 cm) in double crochet
