Just the cowl from my Morning Glory hooded cowl pattern - this pattern requires willingness to learn or knowledge of provisional cast-on, cable and very basic lace knitting (the cable involves a little of both), and some grafting/Kitchener stitch, since you're basically knitting a long "scarf" of cables (knit to your preferred length if you wish to modify the pattern's size), grafting at the end to create a horizontally-cabled cowl.
Knit on larger needles (US10) with worsted alpaca/wool blend yarn for faster knitting and soft drape that still provides plenty of warmth.
