Who doesn't love Art Deco designs. This is my second Art Deco pattern, the first being the Deco Dazzle blanket. It's worked in overlay mosaic crochet. US terminology. Scroll down PDF for UK terminology version.
This pattern is suitable for beginners who know crochet basics. There is an optional zipper closure and it is worked in the round, so just a few ends! There is a link to my video for the invisible join. Instructions include ways to use the pattern to make other projects like blankets, or a table runner.
I used DK/8ply yarn (1 ball of each colour) with a 3.5mm hook and the cushion measures 37 x 37cm (14 1/2”). If using Worsted/Aran yarn with a 4mm hook, the cushion will be much larger, approx. 51 x 53cm (20” x 21”).
It contains written instructions and 2 charts (marked with Xs). One chart is for the cushion and another is a smaller version that some may find more suitable to use to make a blanket, table runner etc.
Contrasting colours make the pattern stand out.
