Nasturcja

Nasturcja is a rectangular shawl that I really liked designing and knitting, and which is a pleasure to wear! It is on the big side, wraps up beautifully and makes you feel like a queen.

It’s called Nastrucja because of the orange colour - I love nastrurtium flowers and Nastrucja is the Polish version of the name.

The shawl is not complicated to knit, pattern sections are easy enough to be accessible for a beginner, and there is a large stockinette part which serves as a background to show off lace motifs.

Yarn – sock, sport or DK would work best, you can also try fingering or lace for a more delicate version.

Size can be adaptable in both width and length. On the one hand, the overall size depends on the yarn weight and needles, on the other hand you can add repeats to make the shawl longer or increase / decrease the number of sts of the stockinette section to make it wider or narrower.
